Mardi Gras Mambo

Did you have too much fun during Mardi Gras? If you live in South Mississippi or Louisiana, you most likely celebrated in New Orleans with friends and family. Bloody Mary’s, fried seafood and king cake have been food groups for the past few days. I do not regret celebrating one of my favorite holidays and the traditions affiliated with Mardi Gras.


Now it is time to burn calories and rejuvenate the body. I’m calling this detox the Mardi Gras Mambo. Here is a general easy cleanse to get your body back to normal and fueled for life.

  1. Drink three liters of water at minimum.
  2. Eat vegetables and meat. These are clean carbs and protein.
  3. Eat an apple or grapefruit in between meals.

The goal of this cleanse is to recharge and nourish your body. Green vegetables are the best to eat. These vegetables hold fiber your body needs to flush out antioxidants.

I recommend doing cardio . Replenish your body with water and nutrients, sweat out impurities, and hydrate your body immediately after. This process is important for the body to recover properly.

Do not regret your fun, and don’t let Mardi Gras take away your mambo.
